The Institute today released Working Paper NI-WP-2025-04, presenting the first probabilistic cascade model calibrated against six decades of disruption data across forty-two national food networks. The paper is available in executive summary at numalogos.institute/research.

The Numalogos Institute has published the Governance Capacity Index (GCI), a longitudinal dataset scoring 94 countries on eleven dimensions of institutional planning capability. The GCI is freely available under a Creative Commons licence.

The Governing Council has appointed Professor Amara Osei-Bonsu as Chair of the Numalogos Institute Advisory Board. Professor Osei-Bonsu brings thirty years of experience in international governance and systems policy, most recently as Under-Secretary-General at the United Nations.

The Institute's Academic Council has approved a three-year research programme examining the relationship between freshwater scarcity and geopolitical instability. Scenario projections to 2075 will be released in successive working papers commencing Q2 2024.
