The Numalogos Institute offers two fellowship tracks, open to researchers at all career stages. Fellows are integrated into active research programmes and are expected to contribute substantially to publications, datasets, and policy outputs.

Resident Research Fellowship

Two-year, full-time positions based at Institute headquarters. Fellows work within a designated research programme and maintain an independent strand of inquiry. Renewable once. Open to applicants with a completed doctorate or equivalent research record.

Associate Fellowship

Part-time, remote-eligible positions for researchers affiliated with universities or other research institutions. Associate Fellows contribute to Institute programmes while maintaining their primary affiliation. Appointments are for twelve months, renewable annually.

Application process

We operate two application rounds per year: January and July. All applications are reviewed anonymously by the Academic Council. Shortlisted candidates are invited to submit a research proposal and attend a panel interview. We do not require personal statements about background or identity.

To protect reviewers from implicit bias, initial applications contain no name, institutional affiliation, or identifying demographic information.
